π How to Perform
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart.
Step forward into a lunge with your right leg, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at 90 degrees.
As you lunge, twist your torso to the right side, reaching your right arm towards the front leg.
Return to the starting position by pushing through your front heel.
Repeat on the opposite leg, twisting to the left side.
Perform for the desired number of repetitions on each side.
β οΈ Common Mistakes to Avoid
Twisting from the knee instead of the torso, which lets the front knee cave and lose alignment.
Swinging into the twist with momentum, which strains the lower back instead of training control.
Letting the hips turn with the shoulders, which moves the rotation out of the upper torso.
