📋 How to Perform
Set the bar just below shoulder height and the safety arms just below the bar's lowest point in your squat.
Grasp the handles of the safety bar and step under it.
Set the pad across your upper back at the base of your traps and look straight ahead.
Unrack the bar, take a few steps back, and set your feet at shoulder width.
Take a deep breath and brace your core.
Descend by bending your hips and knees together until your thighs reach parallel.
Drive your feet through the floor to stand, keeping your chest up.
Exhale as you fully extend your hips and knees.
⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid
Letting the hips rise faster than the chest out of the bottom, which turns the squat into a good morning.
Holding the handles loosely, which lets the bar roll forward and pull the torso down.
Letting the knees cave inward as you stand, which shifts stress to the inside of the knees.
